Van Damme is meeting the needs of applications that require Cat 6A data with an integrated power feed, such as LED walls, with the latest addition to its Cat 6A Tourcat Hybrid Multicore family. The new Van Damme Tourcat Hybrid 1 x Cat 6A / 1 x 3x2.5mm Power and Data Multicore combines a Cat 6A foil-screened data element with a 2.5mm² jacketed power cable in a single, flexible multicore.

The new solution has been designed as an elegant, single-cable solution for integrated data and power distribution. It has been built to tour grade specifications and eliminates the need to run separate power and data cables, making it ideal for LED walls and any application where Cat 6A bandwidth is required alongside a power feed.

Van Damme has listened to the needs of industry professionals and put particular focus on making the Tourcat Hybrid 1 x Cat 6A / 1 x 3x2.5mm Power and Data Multicore thin and flexible. This has ensured a low overall diameter of just 17.2mm to provide the small form factor that professionals need. The cable also offers an overall bend radius of 15 times the overall diameter to ensure the practicality to meet real-world requirements.

The new cable features a Cat 6A foil-screened element and a 3x2.5mm² HO5VV-F compliant power cable. The Cat 6A element delivers rapid, high-bandwidth data transfer via ultra-pure oxygen free copper conductors with skin-foam-skin polyethylene dielectric and aluminium/polyester foil screen at greater than 115% coverage. The power element is rated at 20A and is compliant with the HO5VV-F harmonised standard.
